Market Update
As we finish up the first quarter of 2012, below is your market update on trends for some of our product lines.

Epoxidized Soybean Oil

First quarter prices for Epoxidized Soybean Oil (ESO) have held steady. There is indication that price in the second quarter is expected to rise due to the cost of soybeans rising.

Ethanol
Government subsidies on ethanol ended in December 2011 creating rising ethanol stocks. This caused prices to start a slow decline beginning in late November. This trend continued through the first quarter of 2012.

Palm Derivatives

Crude Palm Oil has seen increases during the beginning of 2012, and prices are expected to contiune to rise during the 2nd Quarter.   Although stocks have been fairly high, demand is also high due to the expanding biodiesel market.

Plasticizers (Linear/branched)
Plasticizer pricing has risen steadily during the first quarter of 2012.  These increases are attributed to rises in feedstock costs, especially for propylene based products.

Sebacic Acid
Record production of castor crops has caused a dip in the pricing of Sebacic Acid and its derivative products, but for some derivatives this price change has been somewhat offset due to the effects of the propylene market.

Tolyltriazole
We continue to operate in a very tight tolytriazole market due to the shortage of the raw material OTDA. Producers indicate that the situation will remain tight in the foreseeable future.
