Powder Plasticizers
Are you or your customers finding high viscosity plasticizers difficult to use in your application? Many of our plasticizers can also be offered in a powder which may be of interest for industries such as rubber. In addition to using this powder form in high viscosity liquids, it is also suggested for sticky liquids and plasticizers being used in mill mixes. If your compounding requires high plasticizer loading, you may want to consider a powder form of one our plasticizers. Sodium Tolyltriazole
Last month we highlighted tolyltriazole, and so this month we would like to introduce sodium tolyltriazole. Sodium Tolyltriazole, a liquid known commonly as TT-50, is used as a corrosion inhibitor for metals such as silver, copper, zinc, lead, and nickel. TT-50 is also used in anti-rust oil (tallow) products, the gas phase corrosion inhibitor of copper and copper alloy, a lubricant additive, cooling tower systems, and auto antifreeze. One reason for the use of TT-50 over pure TTA is the solubility of TT-50 is greater and therefore easier to formulate.
