The Bio-Based Plasticizer Update
Along with the well known non-phthalate plasticizers that ChemCeed has to offer (such as soybean oil, linseed oil, sebacic acid, adipic acid and terephthalic acid based plasticizers) ,ChemCeed recently added full lines of citric acid based plasticizers and a succinic acid based plasticizer. Both of these products can be used as “general” application plasticizers for replacement, but the citrate plasticizer line is diverse enough to meet more specific property requirements. Along with these two naturally derived products, we also offer another bio-based plasticizer with high solvating properties which is a viable replacement for BBP. If you are just beginning your search for a replacement plasticizer or are looking for other options, ChemCeed can help you find the right non-phthalate or bio-based plasticizer that you need.
Keeping it Green with Bio-plastic Resin
ChemCeed is pleased to announce our newest addition to our product line: a bio-based resin suitable as a replacement for LDPE, HDPE, PS, and PP. This line of resins is composed of a blend of co-polyester and PLA (polylactic acid), and is suitable for applications ranging from injection molding to films. These resins are approved for food contact and are independently certified as biodegradable.
Summer Projects at ChemCeed
Our spring intern, Caryssa Berg, has been hired on to do a special summer project. She will be working on business continuity and responsible distribution plans. This is an exciting opportunity for her to learn even more about the industry than she did while interning and to be able to help Chemceed even better serve their customers.
