Application
Benzyl Alcohol is used as a solvent for paints, inks, and coatings. In personal care products, Benzyl Alcohol serves as a precursor in the production of esters used for soaps, perfume, and flavor. For medical use, Benzyl Alcohol is used as a preservative due to its bacteriostatic and antipruritic properties. Benzyl alcohol is also an intermediate of some polypeptides, and can be a Non-reactive diluent for some resin coatings.
