Application
Ethyl Acetoacetate (EAA) is used as a chemical intermediate in the production of a wide variety of compounds such as in the manufacture of dyes, inks, lacquers, coatings, perfumes, plastics, and yellow paint pigments. EAA is used as a low color-generating copromoter for unsaturated polyester resins. EAA is useful as a solvent for fragrances as it is a colorless liquid with a fruity odor. EAA can also used as a flavoring for food.
