Application
Morpholine is a base which is commonly used for pH adjustment and regulation. The volatility of morpholine is about the same as water, leading to even distribution in both water and steam phases. Morpholine is useful in conjunction with low concentrations of hydrazine or ammonia to provide corrosion protection systems. Morpholine is also used in the synthesis of rubber accelerators and pharmaceuticals, a separating agent for volatile amines, and an intermediate for textile lubricants. It is also used as a solvent, boiler water additive, and in the formulation of waxes, polishers, and cleaners.
